Sempro joined the HTSM mission to Germany

Lilianne Ploumen, minister of Foreign Trade and Development Cooperation has visited Germany with the economic mission. This mission was parallel with the Royal visit of our King and Queen to Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia.

Photonics is one of the central core competencies of the German industry with applications in many sectors. Robots control laser controlled welders in the automotive industry. Minimally-invasive diagnostic and surgical techniques work with (flexible) tubing. Herewith and with the aid of photonic techniques, images of the interior of the human being can be produced. With lithographic techniques, semi-conductors and sensors are produced. Therewith a link is established between photonics and semiconductor / sensor – placed industry, an icon for this is the close cooperation between ASML and Carl Zeiss.

The HTSM mission target group consists of companies and institutes in the field of photonics and semiconductor – technology, who wants to work more closely with these clusters in Thuringia.

On the first day the program was consist of a Dutch – German “Pitch & Match” event in Jena for the clusters to meet, German and Dutch companies also received the opportunity to present new technologies to the royal couple. The first day concluded a Trade Dinner for the delegation members and their guests.

On the second day the visits were made to companies and institutes in Thuringia.
